I sincerely appreciate it and i know Matt does too. Please do what you can to get the word out around the schools and community.
If there is one word that describes Matt it is "CHAMPION". Not only has Matt achieved academic success throughout his life, he has been an outstanding Athlete and won many awards including: a number of soccer and academic awards in the CCAA and Fanshawe's Male Athlete of the Year '09. He has also won the scoring title in WOSL Men's Premier Soccer League, along with many other titles.
He is a strong person on the inside and out and is the most amazing person to both his friends and family.
Matt was diagnosed with lymphoma in May of 2009 and has been fighting with the disease. In December he went into remission and was waiting for his next steps. Unfortunately it is an aggressive form of cancer and came back in January 2010.
The disease has returned this time in his bone marrow, and is presently classified as a leukemia. The doctors have said that chemotherapy won't cure Matt, but there is still hope, Matt can be cured with a bone marrow transplant.
Matt has endured this whole battle with admirable courage and has never lost his positive attitude, or let those around him doubt - even for a second - his ability to beat this disease.
We know that Matt is loved by many, many people. He has had so much support over this past year. We are asking on Matt's behalf, for you to become a bone marrow donor. You could be a match for Matt and the person that could help him conquer this battle. Even if you are not a match for Matt, you may also help another person fighting a disease.

1/follow the steps to become a donor 2/it takes about 10 minutes 3/there is a small quiz (true or false) to fill out before you begin the questionnaire and if you answer incorrectly, they give you the correct answers *IF the website is down when you try to qualify you can also do it over the phone.
Call 1-888-2-DONATE and select the "one match" option and then you will be transferred to someone that can qualify you over the phone. If you qualify to become a donor they will send you a mouth swab kit in the mail with instructions. This is how your bone marrow will be typed. You then must send the mouth swab kit back to the return address that is given with the package. LET'S WORK AS A TEAM to help Matt and many others in need.
